TagAudit loads a website in a real browser and reports what it observes: which analytics and advertising tools are present, whether they fire before consent is given, and where tracking looks broken or leaks personal data. You give us a web address; we give you a report.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.
Your purchase contract is therefore with Paddle. Paddle's Buyer Terms govern payment, invoicing and tax. These Terms govern your use of the service itself.
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can reach your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You warrant that, for every website you submit, you own it or you have the owner's permission to have it audited. This is the most important obligation in these terms.
A scan loads pages, triggers tracking, and records what the site transmits — including, by design, personal data the site leaks into its own tracking. Doing that to a website you have no relationship with may be unlawful in your jurisdiction, and it processes other people's personal data without a basis.
So you agree not to submit a site you are not entitled to scan, and to indemnify us against claims arising if you do. We may refuse or stop any scan, and we may suspend accounts that appear to be scanning sites they have no connection to.
We may ask you to prove you control a website before we scan it — for example by adding a DNS record or a tag to the page — and we may make that a condition of scanning it.
You also agree not to use TagAudit to overload or disrupt any website, to circumvent access controls, or to scan a site in order to attack it.
A report describes what we observed, once, at one moment, from one location. Tracking setups change, and a site can behave differently for different visitors. We report what we saw and we try hard not to assert anything we did not see.
A TagAudit report is not legal advice. It discusses consent, cookies and personal data because those are what tracking touches, but we are not your lawyer and a report is not a compliance certificate. Fixing everything we list does not make you GDPR-compliant, and we do not warrant otherwise. If you need a legal opinion, get one from someone qualified to give it.
Some parts of a report are labelled as suggestions rather than detections — for example where we propose a likely vendor for an unrecognised third-party host. Those are marked suggested, unverified and should be treated that way.
We do not warrant that a report is complete. A scanner sees what a browser can see, and some tracking is deliberately hidden from it.
We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something material to a purchase you have made, we will refund the part of what you paid whose benefit you have not received.
The price of each product is shown on the pricing page and again at checkout, before you enter any payment details, because you should never be surprised by a price.
We currently sell one-off purchases only: you pay once, you receive what you bought, and nothing renews. There is no subscription, nothing recurring, and nothing to cancel. If we introduce recurring plans, we will publish updated terms before you can buy one.

You keep all rights in your websites and data. You grant us only the licence needed to run the scan and produce your report. We keep the rights in TagAudit itself — the software, signatures and report design. You may share your reports with clients and colleagues; you may not resell TagAudit itself as your own product without a written agreement.
A scan can capture personal data belonging to the scanned site's visitors. For that data you are the controller and we act as your processor, as described in our Privacy Policy. That processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost revenue, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
The cap above does not apply to a breach of an obligation whose performance is essential to this agreement and on which you are entitled to rely; for such a breach our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for a contract of this kind.
You may stop using TagAudit at any time — write to us and we will close your account. We may suspend or end your account if you breach these terms — in particular section 4 — or if we are required to by law. We will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
If you leave, ask us and we will give you your reports in a portable format, at no charge.
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
If a dispute arises that we cannot resolve together, you may be able to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) under Directive 2013/11/EU. In Estonia, consumers may apply to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee). We will engage constructively with any ADR body a consumer chooses.
